Oh Shinnah Fastwolf

"If you live on this land, and you have ancestors sleeping in this land,
I believe that makes you a native to this land.
It has nothing to do with the color of your skin.
I was not raised to look at people racially.
What I was taught is that we're flowers in the Great Spirit's garden.
We share a common root, and the root is Mother Earth."

- Oh Shinnah Fastwolf, Shishindi Nation (Apache)

  1. For many years an actress played a part so well people thought she was the character she played. She could play it so well people believed and were enchanted. The truth of her real ancestors was hidden, was she ashamed of her real roots or did she think being someone else gave her credibility? When you reach a certain age and time, you are supposed to take off the mask and reveal that the truth was always cloaked in magical thinking Shout surprise! It was always just me, the actor behind the pretend persona. The truth can stand unashamed, raw and naked on it's own. It is OK to say we are Heinz 57 Variety people who are inventing what we need to survive and save our selves out of necessity. Genuine power didn't ride in on the wind or a ghost horse. People are concerned about Fake news, they don't want to feel gullible and manipulated. Being truthful now is something that will set all falsehood right.
