I'm so enjoying your posts today. This is a wonderful quote. I have a very small mount of Cherokee "blood" running in my veins. My paternal great grandmother was a Cherokee woman. It is a part of me I cherish and am very grateful to those ancestors that helped bring me to this moment.
Delighted you're enjoying the posts, Teresa. This made me think of a quote, lol, my fondness for quotes, "Being Indian is an attitude, a state of mind, a way of being in harmony with all things and all beings. It is allowing the heart to be the distributor of energy on this planet; to allow feelings and sensitivities to determine where energy goes; bringing aliveness up from the Earth and from the Sky, putting it in and giving it out from the heart." - Brooke Medicine Eagle I like to think that, other than genetic affiliations to certain groups, that ultimately we're all One Tribe, the Human Tribe. If we all viewed it that way I'd guess a lot of problems would be solved. What do you think?
Yes, I agree. Old habits of thought run deep and are sometimes easy to fall back into. Nationalism, and over-identification with any group or tribe is detrimental to the whole. We are One, I have no doubt. To better understand and demonstrate the interconnectedness of all life is my desire.
"Many people need desperately to receive this message: 'I feel and think much as you do, care about many of the things you care about, although most people do not care about them. You are not alone.'" - Kurt Vonnegut
"Let me tell you why you're here. You're here because you know something. What you know you can't explain, but you feel it. You've felt it your entire life, that there's something wrong with the world. You don't know what it is, but it's there, like a splinter in your mind, driving you mad. It is this feeling that has brought you to me. Do you know what I'm talking about?"
But remember: "I didn't say it would be easy. I just said it would be the truth." - Morpheus

"You take the blue pill, the story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill, you stay in Wonderland, and I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes." - Morpheus
