"Morally Treasonable..."

"The President is merely the most important among a large number of public servants. He should be supported or opposed exactly to the degree which is warranted by his good conduct or bad conduct, his efficiency or inefficiency in rendering loyal, able, and disinterested service to the Nation as a whole. Therefore it is absolutely necessary that there should be full liberty to tell the truth about his acts, and this means that it is exactly necessary to blame him when he does wrong as to praise him when he does right. Any other attitude in an American citizen is both base and servile. To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public. Nothing but the truth should be spoken about him or any one else. But it is even more important to tell the truth, pleasant or unpleasant, about him than about any one else."
- President Theodore Roosevelt, 1908

  1. The presidency the house and the Senate are all equal branches of government. It is the house and Senate's job to make sure that the president does not abuse his powers as President and to investigate him if there is reason to believe that he has.the rules that the republicans are. Complaining about are the rules that they put in place when they were trying to impeach Clinton for a land deal that happened before he was President they couldn't prove anything there but in the process found out he was having a affair so they tried to impeach him for his morals.
President Trump should have been impeached when the Mueller report came out. Now we have him withholding money that Congress approved to be sent to them to help them fight off the Russians.( I wonder how many died while waiting for this aid?) that's blood on the Presidents hands. The department off justice already verified that they were doing what they could about corruption. Now I hear some Republican senators claiming he was just doing his job making sure there was not any corruption in there Country before giving the funds to them. But the truth is he was trying to pressure them for months while he held their check back he had people behind the scenes doing his dirty work letting them know if they don't launch a investigation on the Biden's he would not release the money they needed to protect themselves. That is a violation of his oath. The President is not above the law and should be held accountable for his actions.
I believe as citizen we should watch the hearings and decide if we believe he was in the right or wrong and let the senators that we elect know what we believe after listening to the testimony of all the witnesses if they vote party and not to uphold the constitution which is their job we should vote them out of office next election. I am very unhappy with what he has done to the reputation of our country, the rolling back of the protections on our lands so the rich can get richer and to heck with global warming even tho science has proven its real. If he doesn't like something he says it fake and that that.I hope after his presidency is over one way or another our country and it's people can come back together as the United States of America. Its time for all the devision to stop. God bless America.
